Diamond Jubilee Festival in Golders Green.

On Monday 4 June 2012, the London Borough of Barnet will celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee by organising "The Diamond Jubilee Festival" in Golders Hill Park, Gorlders Green.

This is the Council's flagship event and it is being organised by Barnet Council and the City of London Corporation.
From 3pm til 10pm there will be live music performed by local bands and professional musicians, children’s entertainers, stalls run by community groups and local businesses and finally a fireworks display and the lighting of a six meter high beacon.

And guess what? Petit Gâteau will be there!!!

At 2.45pm, the Festival will start with the inauguration of a Diamond Jubilee weathervane by the Mayor of Barnet, the Representative Deputy Lieutenant for Barnet and the Chairman of the Hampstead Heath Management Committee. And then you'll just have to enjoy the day, perusing from one stall to another, listening to music while kids are playing together.

I'm already designing some of the Jubilee-ish treats I will bake. There will be some British Union Jack involved me think!

Let's hope for some well deserved sun and a brilliant day for this Jubilee Festival. I hope to see lots of you there!

Edit : I'll be selling cakes and savoury tartlets from 11.00AM til 6.00PM so get in there early to avoid disappointment! :)
